DOMAIN REGISTRATION CRITERIA

Refer to the following checklist to ensure that your chosen domain name complies with requirements:

For .com, .net and .org registrations (individual and corporate):

The domain name must contain only alpha-numeric characters (a-z , 0-9) and hyphens (-).
The name must begin with a letter or number and cannot end with a hyphen (-).
The total length of the domain name (including the extension and the individual '.') must be no longer than 67 characters.

For .com.my and .com.sg registrations (corporate only):

The domain name must contain only alpha-numeric characters (a-z , 0-9) and hyphens (-).
The name must begin with a letter or number and cannot end with a hyphen (-).
For .com.my, the total length of the domain name (including the extension and the individual '.') must be no longer than 50 characters.
For .com.sg, the total length of the domain name (including the extension and the individual '.') must be no longer than 67 characters.

For .biz and .info registrations:

The total length of the domain name must be no shorter than 3 characters and no longer than 63 characters.

For .com.cn, .net.cn and .org.cn registrations:

Any business or organization, worldwide, can register a .CN name under a new liberalized policy that no longer restricts .CN registrations to Chinese entities.
Individuals are not allowed to register .CN.
A company or organization do not need to have a subsidiary in China in order to acquire a .CN name.
CN domain names available to registrars for term lengths between one (1) and five (5) years.

For .hk registrations(individual and corporate):

The domain name must contain only alpha-numeric characters (a-z , 0-9) and hyphens (-).
The name must begin with a letter or number and cannot end with a hyphen (-).
The total length of the domain name (including the extension and the individual '.') must be within 6-63 characters.
Free Net will submit your domain name to Registry upon receiving your payment. Please note the registration will be process by Registry manually and we will notify you once process completed.
No guarantee on the ownership of the domain name once you've make payment. This is due to no query is provided by Registry to check on the availability of domain name, therefore the domain that you submitted might have taken by someone else. If domain is available, you should be able to register the domain name under '1st come 1st serve' rule.
We will notify you via email on whether you have successfully register the name(s). If domain name registration is not successful, we will refund the payment into your account.
No documentary proof is required to register a Second- Level '.hk' domain name, except applications for domain name consisting of or containing a reference to words like 'bank', 'insurance' or 'assurance' will require additional documents issued by relevant authorities.

For .tv registrations
.tv is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Tuvalu. It is commonly referred to as the "television" extension. The .tv registry is open to all individuals including small businesses and large corporations.
The total length of the domain name must be no shorter than 3 characters and no longer than 63 characters.
Registrar transfers are currently not available for .tv domains. This is a .tv registry limitation.

For .name.my registrations:

For Malaysian individual's personal use only.

For .asia registrations
The domain name must contain only alpha-numeric characters (a-z , 0-9) and hyphens (-).
The name must begin with a letter or number and cannot end with a hyphen (-).
The total length of the domain name (including the extension and the individual '.') must be within 3 to 63 characters.
Anyone (person or entity) can be a registrant of a .Asia domain name in condition where registrant must meet the Charter Eligibility Requirement. At least one of the Domain Contacts associated with the Domain Name (Registrant, Admin, Billing or Technical) must be a legal entity in the DotAsia Community (Based on the ICANN Asia/Australia/Pacific Region described by 73 ccTLDs; http://www.icann.org/montreal/geo-regions-topic.htm).

For .vn and .com.vn registrations
Domain names can only contain characters from A to Z; 0 - 9 and Vietnamese language characters in the Vietnamese alphabet.
Domain name cannot begin with "xn--"
The name must begin with a letter or number and cannot end with a hyphen (-).
The total length of the domain name (including the extension and the individual '.') must be within 3 to 63 characters.
.VN domain name is unrestricted to foreign registrants and no local presence is required. Only Organisation/ Company is allows to register 2LD .VN domain while any organization or individual can register 3LD .VN domain name.
Domain name is not entitled to include words which can violate national interests or not corresponding to social morality, lifestyle and national cultural.
Any of the following contents shall not be included in any domain name registered and used by any organization or individual:
 
  • Those that are against the basic principles prescribed in the Constitution of Vietnamese Government;
  • Those jeopardize national security, leak state secrets, intend to overturn the Government of Vietnam, or disrupt of state integrity;
  • Those harm national honor and national interests;
  • Those instigate hostility or discrimination between different nationalities, or disrupt the national solidarity;
  • Those violate the state religion policies or propagate cult and feudal superstition;
  • Those spread rumors, disturb public order or disrupt social stability;
  • Those spread pornography, obscenity, gambling, violence, homicide, terror or instigate crimes;
  • Those insult, libel against others and infringe other people's legal rights and interests; or
  • Other contents prohibited in laws, rules and administrative regulations.

    For .kr registrations
    The domain name must contain only alpha-numeric characters (a-z , 0-9) and hyphens (-).
    The name must begin with a letter or number and cannot end with a hyphen (-).
    The total length of the domain name must be within 3 to 63 characters.
    Domain name can not have hyphens as the 3rd and 4th characters (reserved for multilingual domain registration)
    Organization or individual with local presence (postal address of your place of residence) in Korea may apply for secod level and third level .KR domain name. We can provide you the local presence in Korea.
    .CO.KR is for commercial companies.

    For .mobi registrations
    The domain name must contain only alpha-numeric characters (a-z , 0-9) and hyphens (-).
    The name must begin with a letter or number and cannot end with a hyphen (-).
    The total length of the domain name must be within 3 to 63 characters. (excluding the "http://www" and ".MOBI" portions).
    .mobi (Dotmobi) is a top-level domain (TLD) approved by ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. Dotmobi is unique - it is the first top level domain dedicated to delivering the internet to the mobile phone. Dotmobi is sponsored by a consortium of companies which includes the most prominent mobile and Internet players in the world.

    For .tw and .com.tw registrations
    The domain name must contain only alpha-numeric characters (a-z , 0-9) and hyphens (-).
    The name must begin with a letter or number and cannot end with a hyphen (-).
    The total length of the domain name must be within 3 to 63 characters.
    .TW domain names are now available for registration worldwide. (Previously, only registrants located in Taiwan were able to register a .TW name.)
    Businesses and organizations worldwide can register third-level (.com.tw, .org.tw, .idv.tw) and second-level (.tw) .TW names on a "first come, first served" (FCFS) basis.
    Although .TW policy is permissive in terms of registration, and enforcement is generally in reaction to a complaint (as opposed to proactive review), registrations that are not associated with an organization or business may be subject to deletion. This does not in any way prevent an individual from registering a .TW domain name for a business operating as a sole proprietorship.
    Any business or organization, worldwide, can register a .COM .TW or .ORG.TW name under a new liberalized policy that no longer restricts .TW registrations to Taiwanese entities.
    A company or organization does not need to have a subsidiary in Taiwan in order to acquire a .TW name
