IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR DATA CENTER MIGRATION
Thank you for your continuous support. In order to provide a better service and hosting experience to our valued customers, we would like to announce that there will be a major data center migration exercise that will be carried out at 30th July 2011, Saturday 7pm (GMT +8:00) . The migration will take approximately 12-24 hours.
Where are we migrating to?
We’re migrating all our servers from TM Myloca Data Center, Cyberjaya to Computer Exchange 2 (CX2), Cyberjaya.
Why are we migrating?
- Improved and Redundant network connectivity with multiple redundant Fiber Backbone links with extensive public and private peering with local ISPs, International ISP link and Tier-1 telco. Each backbone has ready capacity of 20Gbps and easy expansion capability of 10Gbps.
- Better facility with ISO 20000 & ISO 27001 certified data center.
- Reduced server’s outage by having Multi layer full UPS power.
- Improved security with Multi Stage physical security access with 24 x 7 CCTV monitoring.
- Improved protection with Fire Alarm and Detection system throughout the data center area.
Who will be affected?
All clients currently hosted under Hostpro2u.com will be affected by this migration exercise including Web Hosting, Email Hosting, Plesk Web Hosting, Database Hosting, and Email Relay Hosting.
Servers in the following IP range will be affected:
- 202.9.108.XXX
- 202.9.109.XXX
- 202.9.110.XXX
- 202.9.111.XXX
The IP of all the servers will remain unchanged after the migration.
Customer’s task before 30th July 2011
- Backup a copy of the web contents before the migration.
- Try to schedule update of the website before or after the migration as there won’t be any access allowed to the servers during the migration.
- Download the emails into the outlook before the migration.
- Inform customers or business partners about the outage which the website and emails are inaccessible during the migration period.
What will Hostpro2u do before 30th July 2011
- Perform a final backup for all the servers, including web, email, database, DNS, etc.
- Proper planned on the migration flow and schedule.
